Nazzy closed right on support. FB reported a revenue miss and poor guidance after the close, but it’s still rallying hard in the aftermarket. Paypal (PYPL) reported and guided lower, and tomorrow all eyes will be on AAPL.

Nasdaq: -1.81… S&P: +8.76…

The S&P 500 increased 0.2% today in a volatile session in which the index traded between a 0.3% decline and 1.6% gain. The Nasdaq (unch), Dow (+0.2%), and Russell 2000 (-0.3%) closed mixed and little changed, also fading intraday gains.

Most charts have incredible battle damage. However, coal acts great, even better than oil stocks. CEIX, ARCH.  BTU reports tomorrow morning.

MOS doesn’t look bad on the pullback. Held 50-day moving average. Still a great sector.

Metals and mining have seen an orderly pullback. X and CLF are holding support.

I still like energy (XLE) names on the pullback. APA, PTEN, NEX.

It’s tough to be bullish but we are oversold and everything has a level.

Let’s see if the bulls step up tomorrow.]
