Technology and financial stocks led the S&P 500 to its biggest gain in more than two months today. All 10 sectors in the S&P rose, while U.S. government bonds and gold fell.
Biotech demonstrated relative strength in the health care space as (IBB +6.01) gained 2.3% today, erasing its May loss.
The U.S. Dollar Index (95.60, +0.37) finished higher with the greenback gaining ground against the euro and the yen.
Sales of new homes in the U.S. rose at the fastest pace in almost eight years. Volume was light today.
The Nasdaq and Russell put in +2.0% days today and the SPX and Dow were up just over 1.0%.
The FANG stocks all had good days and today was definitely a turnaround Tuesday. Lets see if the bulls can muster a follow through tomorrow.
