US equities are off their best levels after two hours of cash trading. European stocks are also off their highs but remain very strong headed into the close, with the Euro Stoxx up 1.43%. The 10-year UST yield has come in four basis points to trade 2.135%, headed back toward the ten-week lows seen last Friday.
Alcoa marked the unofficial beginning of the fourth quarter earnings season. Alcoa’s earnings that topped analysts’ expectations Monday, but revenue fell just short of what was expected, as some high-growth segments helped to slightly negate headwinds in its legacy business. AA is down 9%
