Stocks slipped Monday after a renewed selloff in China, as investors awaited an interest-rate decision from the U.S. Federal Reserve later in the week. While expectations for a rate increase at this week’s Fed meeting have declined over the past month, many investors remain hesitant to place big bets ahead of Thursday’s announcement.
I guess if there was a gun to my head I would say they wont raise here, but who knows? About 46% of economists expected the Fed to raise rates this week, compared with 82% in an August survey. You know how I feel about economists.
