The Wrap 4/16/10

{+++}It was a choppy day , but considered a bullish consolidation day. GOOG had a soft number after the close and got punished a bit in the after-market, down $30 last I checked.

Light sweet crude pulled back a bit and some oil stocks acted OK like COP and OXY, but for the most part it was a sideways day for oil without much fanfare. CLF looked like it wanted to break out at the open , but faded. The stock is still in  great pattern on the daily, but it hasn’t broken out yet. I know some of us are already long in the chatroom, me included.

CNX looks ready to breakdown and a violation of the $44 level may start it off to the downside. I removed AMSC, last nights short idea, as it has moved too far away from an entry level.

Tomorrow is Friday and it will be interesting to see how the market reacts to GOOG, BAC and GE. Speaking of GE, their corporate tax return was 26,000 pages. LOL

See you in the morning.
